There are many lessons that can be gleaned from the story of Esau selling his birthright plus missing out on his blessing. We can easily overlook the “determined purpose and foreknowledge of God” in our personal lives. Before Esau and Jacob were born, God had a plan that would not change, despite heredity or character. Do we consider God’s forethought and active participation in order to fulfill His plan for you and me?
