Lord, Help Us To Be Faithful

As we saw in part 1, “Lord, Help Us to be Real,” Jephthah’s life did not begin as an example for us to follow. He faced real events in his life that brought about significant challenges, which led him to make poor decisions. However, after God began working with Jephthah and the Spirit of God came upon him, he and his daughter, J. G. (Jephthah’s Girl), lived exemplary lives of tremendous faith in God. Our merciful God provides us with examples of real people in the Bible to help us grow in our faith and courage as we strive to be pleasing to Him.
